Parade Season: May - Aug

Participate in Parade Season. This includes a parade at the Portland Rose Festival. The dates vary. Refer to the calendar. There is a $50 fair share fee to cover expenses and staff payments. It is expected that everyone enrolled in a Glencoe band class participates. Evergreen students are HIGHLY encouraged to participate. Please pay here. We will work with families who cannot pay. Additional parades include the Hillsboro July 4th parade, and the North Plains Elephant Garlic Parade in August. For dates, please check the calendar.


Fall Season: Aug - Oct

Band Camp begins in the middle of August. Colorguard, Percussion, and Leadership may meet before Band Camp. Please refer to the calendar for rehearsal information. These camps are designed to prepare students for the Fall Marching Band Season. It is expected that all students participate in marching band. There is a “sliding-scale” Fall Fair Share Fee to assist families’ economic needs. ($400, $600, or $800) Financial assistance is available. Forms can be turned in electronically to Ben Adams or in print. Printed documents and checks, money orders, cash, should be turned into the black mail box in the band room. Or, select the Fall Fair Share Payment on our Store for payments. They will receive consistent instruction on their instrument and equipment for a minimum of 10 weeks from the middle of August until November. We are willing to work with students who participate in other Fall sports and activities. Please email Ben Adams to discover a plan that works for you.


Winter Season: Nov - Apr

Auditions for Winter Season begin in late October- early November. Winter Season includes Winter Colorguard (WinterGuard), and Winter Percussion. These organizations are under the umbrella of the Glencoe Performance Ensembles. There is a Winter Fair Share Fee that every student must pay. There is a “sliding scale” Fair Share to assist parents. ($600, $900, $1200) Financial assistance is available but must be turned into Ben Adams by December 1. Students will receive instruction from professional coaches for at least 20 weeks. The groups perform at regional and national competitions from February - April.
